Tropical Wood Sculpture ~ Costa Rica
Born and educated in Cannes, in the south of France, Gilles Marcel
was raised as a third-generation shipwright, following the tradition of his
father and grandfather. Marcel's passion for his craft evolved into a yearning
to express the glories of the earth's elements; the woods which he shaped,
and the sea which shaped him.
